The process launched by the file extension iked.exe provides Internet browsing security to users connected through a network. The process, known as an IKE Daemon for Shrew Soft VPN Client, provides Internet Protocol security to end-users connecting to a Virtual Private Network. It has been tested by security sites and found to be a safe process to have installed on the computer. The additional Internet security enables users to connect to their network without the risk of rendering the system vulnerable to malicious attacks. It is filed under C:\Program Files\Shrew Soft\VPN\Client\ iked.exe, and is considered as a legitimate process. It provides support for Windows, as well as Linux-based computers. The program likewise supports a wide variety of VPN servers, both from big-time and small-time players. Users that utilize the Shrew Soft VPN Client are not advised to remove the file from the system to avoid OS processes from being negatively impacted, unless the system displays error messages; which could be because of issues with the software’s registry keys.
