The file iehost.exe is also called the turown.g adware, which is an advertising program that monitors the browsing habits and sends the data back to the author's server for analysis. Adware is a legitimate program that is given to the user with advertisements embedded in the application. There are adware however, like the turown.g adware that is associated with the file iehost.exe, which is a form of spyware that collects information about the user in order to display advertisements in the Web browser. Some of these applications become intrusive when frequent popup ads appear while browsing, and the adware is considered as malware. Others would classify adware as an irritant, but some security software classifies adware as online threats, or even trojans. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. iehost.exe. is used by tutown.g adware, If you shut down iehost.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
