What is  iehost.exe

The file iehost.exe is also called the turown.g adware, which is an advertising program that monitors the browsing habits and sends the data back to the author's server for analysis. Adware is a legitimate program that is given to the user with advertisements embedded in the application. There are adware however, like the turown.g adware that is associated with the file iehost.exe, which is a form of spyware that collects information about the user in order to display advertisements in the Web browser. Some of these applications become intrusive when frequent popup ads appear while browsing, and the adware is considered as malware. Others would classify adware as an irritant, but some security software classifies adware as online threats, or even trojans. Programs have been developed to detect, quarantine, and remove advertisement-displaying adware, and almost all commercial antivirus software currently detect adware and spyware, or offer a separate adware detection package.
