The iau.exe process is an executable component file of the Internet Accelerator Utility of the Project 1 software, which is a program that examines the computer system’s capabilities to generated faster browsing experienced and downloads. The Internet Accelerator Utility serves as an internet acceleratory and at the same time a computer optimizer to run the computer system into its optimum performance. The iau.exe process is specifically placed in these client and server computers for Windows systems and other supported operating systems upon the installation and deployment Internet Accelerator Utility tools as the core file of the program which contains command-specific instructions to be configured by the system to run the Internet Accelerator Utility tools. The iau.exe file process also helps in the deployment of Internet Accelerator Utility internet access features and optimizing functions across the computer system of the network.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. iau.exe. is used by Internet Accelerator Utility, If you shut down iau.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
