The iaantmon.exe process is also known as the Intel RAID Event Monitor and is owned by Intel Corporation. The Intel Corporation is well known for their microprocessors that are usually found in a lot of personal computers. The company is also known to make a variety of products that includes motherboards, network cards, and graphic chips. The Intel RAID Event Monitor checks the computer’s hard drive for the possibility of errors. Whenever errors are found the software will then try to fix them or informs the user about the discovered issues. The iaantmon.exe runs as a background Windows service (IAANTMON) and also as the SYSTEM account with broad privileges on the local computer. It also acts as the main computer within the network. The program is an executable file and it is not recommended for the file to be removed from the computer system. Users consider the file to be safe and minimal risk potentiality, but it is still better to keep precautions regarding the respective file.
