What is  hpotdd01.exe

The hpotdd01.exe file program is the major component of Device Discovery program, which is integrated in many Hewlett-Packard (HP) devices, such as cameras, USB printers, and Bluetooth products. This process is a detection software used for the newest and latest products of HP, particularly imaging and printing devices. The hpotdd01.exe file primarily improves the connection and establishment processes, through the integration of technologies, like IrDA, which stands for Infra Red data Association technology, and Bluetooth technology. Since it is the core of the application, the hpotdd01.exe process runs the main function of Device Discovery, with the ability to integrate mobile units and other compatible devices. Its detecting function is to define the inquiry access code of a device and enable it to label the kind of machine it requires, i.e., a Bluetooth, a camera, a printer, or a scanner. It also operates to seek device-generated hopping sequence of events from the clock of the device used. This is when a connection is finally established.
