The hidchk.exe file is the process called Recovery Management Hidden Partition Checker that is used by the application eMachines Revovery Management created by Acer. It is not a core fiel for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. It is a non-system process. This process can record inputs, monitor and control other programs. eMachines Recovery Management software is created for e-machines based on Windows. It examines the computer then begins to download and set up the e-machine authorized drivers to the local machine for it to work properly. It analyzes which drivers are important or proper for the system. It facilitates the user to quickly inaugurate the drivers. It helps recover lost data. It is a tool for installing, downloading and identifying drivers for computers.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. hidchk.exe. is used by eMachines Recovery Management, If you shut down hidchk.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop hidchk.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is eMachines Recovery Management, from your system.
