The file harmonyremote.exe, known as HarmonyRemote.exe, belongs to software Logitech Harmony Remote by Logitech. Harmony Remote Software supports remote control devices for many brands. Harmony remote is equipped with IR capability that can control entertainment devices such as the TV, DVD player, and stereo, allowing the user to set the inputs and configure the remote device. The Harmony Remote software allows users to add, change, or remove standard button functions on the Harmony Remote device. Users can customize the standard buttons in activities that include selecting the devices to be controlled, and selecting the commands from the drop-down list in the Command column. The standard buttons for devices can be customized to set the preferred commands from the drop-down list under the Device options. Similarly, the LCD buttons in activities and in devices can also be customized according to the user's preferences.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. harmonyremote.exe. is used by Logitech Harmony Remote, If you shut down harmonyremote.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
