What is  gstart.exe

The process gstart.exe is known by its service name as gStart Application, and a module that is bundled in the software Garmin POI Loader, or commonly called as POI Loader, sometimes also known as Garmin Training Center version 4 and 3, Garmin StreetPilot version c320 North, or Garmin WebUpdater, which is released by GARMIN Corporation. Garmin POI Loader is a type of utility software that is able to load custom point of interest, or input files, into the Garmin device through the Internet, or a customized one made by the user. Other than that, a user can also have the option to configure his or her unit to provide him or her the distance of the point, such as driving over a speed near a target point, and warn any school zones, redlights or speed cameras. The module gstart.exe is a launcher file that basically begins the usage of the software. Therefore, the gstart.exe file needs to run in the background, to enable its function, whenever the user needs to open the program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. gstart.exe. is used by Garmin POI Loader or Garmin Training Center, If you shut down gstart.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
