The executable process file fscapture.exe (version 6.8.0.0) is identified as FastStone Capture that is part of the software FastStone Screen Capture or FastStone Capture as developed by the company FastStone Soft. The process file is found to be running in the Task Manager as the process fscapture.exe, which is located in the Program Files\faststone capture folder and in the subfolder of C:\Program Files or even in most cases in the subfolder of C:\ with the directory %PROGRAMFILES%\Multimedia\FastStone Capture. On Windows 7/XP, the process file has a file size of 1,111,552 bytes (30% of all occurrences), 1,110,528 bytes, and 8 other variants. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. fscapture.exe. is used by FastStone Capture, If you shut down fscapture.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop fscapture.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is FastStone Capture, from your system.

After uninstalling applications it is a good idea to scan you Windows registry for any left over traces of applications. Registry Reviver by ReviverSoft is a great tool for doing this.
