What is freemeter.exe
The freemeter.exe file is the process called FreeMeter Application that is used by the application FreeMeter Utility created by TILER.com. This program has a visible window. It is not a system process. It originates from the program installed in the system. It is not a core file for Windows that means the operating system can run without requiring this process. The program loads when you start Windows. The registry key for this process is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders. This process can record inputs. FreeMeter is a tool that allows you tot track system resources through real time monitoring of memory usage, CPU usage, disk space usage and disk transfer rates. It checks the activity of your computer and diagnoses problems. The freemeter.exe file has no digital signature. The process automatically runs on current user autorun registry entries, running processes, all users startup startmenu, current user startup startmenu or on Roaming Start Menu\Programs\Startup.
How can I stop freemeter.exe and should I?
Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. freemeter.exe. is used by FreeMeter, If you shut down freemeter.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
