Fresco Logic is a process that is executed through the file flxhcim.exe, and related to the software that installs Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller. The software also works on USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports. The general file path of the application is C:\Program Files\Fresco Logic Inc\Fresco Logic 3.0 Host Controller\Host\flxhcim.exe. The most common file size installed on PCs is 47,616 bytes. By default, the file runs upon OS startup, but it is not a necessary file to have as a background task of the PC. The file will only be invoked by the system when an application or device needs to utilize the process. This means that you will not generally see the task running in Task Manager, unless an application is using the file. Moreover, the process is said to assist in power distribution, to make your PC more energy-efficient; this, based on users’ accounts regarding the file. The file has not been reported as a PC security risk.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. flxhcim.exe. is used by Fresco Logic, If you shut down flxhcim.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop flxhcim.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Fresco Logic, from your system.
