The eyedefender.exe file is a process that is associated with EyeDefender by Eterlab Software, inc. This executable file is located in the C:\Program Files subfolder. Known sizes for this file include 163,840 bytes and 158,208 bytes with 66% occurrence. This process can manipulate or alter the behavior of other applications. This program loads when you start Windows. The registry key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. This process automatically starts with the current user autorun registry entries and on running processes. EyeDefender is a free software. It serves as a rest reminder for computer users to prevent CVS or Computer Vision Syndrome that results from working on the computer for long hours. This program is found on the system tray after installation. It shows the time left before the next break. When breaktime comes, EyeDefender will perform one of the activities including displaying pictures in predefined folder, running a screensaver [default], running a visual training for eye relaxation or displaying a popup reminder on system tray.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. eyedefender.exe. is used by Eyedefender, If you shut down eyedefender.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop eyedefender.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Eyedefender, from your system.
