The file ewidoctri.exe, known as ewido control, belongs to software ewido anti-malware from ewido networks. Ewido anti-malware, previously known as the E-wido Security Suite, offers protection against urgently growing threats like Trojans, hijackers, worms, dialers, keyloggers and spyware. This software is intended to work alongside the Grisoft product AVG to maintain the system security. The application employs a variety of detection methods that include scanning the windows registry and heuristic analysis, and provides an alert to the user by means of an alarm sound and message when it detects an infected object. The latest version of the software features a completely renewed user interface, a BHO viewer, and a LSP viewer. It employs generic crypter detection through emulation, generic binder detection, a shredder that secures file deletion, and analysis tools for startup, connection, and processes. Ewido anti-malware supports NTFS-ADS scanning, scanning and cleaning of the Windows registry, and scanning inside archives.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ewidoctrl.exe. is used by Ewido anti-malware, If you shut down ewidoctrl.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ewidoctrl.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Ewido anti-malware, from your system.
