The file eventagt.exe, known as DEventAgent Module, belongs to software OpenManage Client Instrumentation by Dell Computer. This software enables users to configure the client system BIOS after installation. OpenManage Client Instrumentation (OMCI), which is available on Dell precision, Dell Latitude, Dell Optiplex, and Dell Workstation, can be used be used by system administrators to remotely monitor system health, manage assets, and inventory deployed system in the enterprise. It employs the health monitoring and Indication Whitepaper that describes the technical details on how to leverage OMCI for health monitoring using both local tools and management consoles. OMCI interfaces with leading enterprise management consoles that support industry standards and can be tightly integrated with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) that enables users to take advantage of the rich scripting capabilities for collecting information and customizing system settings. OMCI does not require a local interface and consoles such as ConfigMgr, which is Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager, can easily retrieve the information exposed by OMCI.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. eventagt.exe. is used by OpenManage Client Instumentation, If you shut down eventagt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop eventagt.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is OpenManage Client Instumentation, from your system.

Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
