The enmtray.exe process belongs to the Acer eNet Management software, which is an applet that is bundled with the driver software and firmware packages of certain Acer laptops, desktops, hardware components and devices. When The enmtray.exe process is activated, it calls on other files associated with the Acer eNet Management applet, application-specific modules, required modular system resources, necessary driver software and firmware files that correspond to the networking functions of the Acer laptop, notebook, desktop, hardware component or device. The enmtray.exe process does this in order for the Acer eNet Management software to become accessible through the Windows System Tray, particularly via an icon placed in the Windows System Tray. The enmtray.exe file contains program logic data that is encoded with source code compilation specifications usually implemented into program logic content stored in the EXE file format. The Acer eNet Management software is integrated with a set of functionalities for managing and configuring the network settings of the system and compatible Acer laptops, desktops, notebooks, hardware components and devices.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. enmtray.exe. is used by Acer eNet Management, If you shut down enmtray.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop enmtray.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Acer eNet Management, from your system.
