Symantec Enterprise VPN for Windows and Solaris is security solution that allows users to securely extend network beyond the firewall by providing server-side ProxySecured VPN scanning and client-side personal firewall protection through the Symantec Enterprise VPN Client (formerly called RaptorMobile). The VPN Client connects the PC to the VPN server, which provides access to the private network. To ensure the security of data transmitted in the VPN, SEVPN Client uses a suite of standardized security protocols including the Internet Security Association and Key Management Protocol (ISAKMP), the Internet Key Exchange (IKE) policy, and the IP Security protocol. The SEVPN Client enables secure, high-speed connectivity with the Internet and allows users to establish low-cost connections and secure access to information for mobile workers. Access to SEVPN client is password protected to prevent unauthorized access to the server.
