The computer process that runs in the background generally known as Acer eDataSecurity Management Loader, and which is executed through the file edsloader.exe, is part of the software known as Acer eDataSecurity Management. This software usually comes pre-installed on Acer laptops. It serves as an encryption tool for protecting data stored on the computer. It is usually located in C:\Acer\Empowering Technology\eDataSecurity\edsloader.exe. There have been issues encountered by users where their system failed to load because an error related to the edsloader.exe file occurred. Usually, the error is displayed as such: “edsloader.exe unable to locate component” or “eDataSecurity System Loader (Load and prepare environment) has stopped working.” The main culprit for the errors was found to be a false/positive detection by the users’ AV program. The antivirus application automatically deleted the file which then resulted in the system detecting errors with regards to edsloader.exe. In other words, some AV programs were found to be in conflict with the file.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. edsloader.exe. is used by Acer eDataSecurity Management Loader, If you shut down edsloader.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop edsloader.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Acer eDataSecurity Management Loader, from your system.
