Called by the service name Compaq Easy Access USB Keyboard Driver, also known as EAUSBKBD, the process eausbkbd.exe, which is an executable or EXE file, is a part of the program labeled as Compaq Easy Access Keyboard Support Software, or Compaq EAUSBKBD, which is created by Compaq Computer, or simply Compaq. During the installation of the software product, eausbkbd.exe, like other modules bundled in the program, is downloaded onto the computer, where it is stored in a file folder and registered into the Windows registry. After its successful installation, eausbkbd.exe begins to run in the background, and it is not advisable to remove or terminate it, unless it causes problems that affect the performance of the computer system. In addition, eausbkbd.exe is compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems,including Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. eausbkbd.exe. is used by Compaq Easy Access Keyboard Support Software, If you shut down eausbkbd.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
