The process that gets executed on the computer through the dvdagent.exe file is generally called HP DVDSmart Resident Program. This is part of the software for HP MediaSmart DVD licensed under CyberLink Corporation. The file’s general path is C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\Media\DVD\dvdagent.exe. The dvdagent.exe file serves as the main executable for the software. This means that if you disable the file, the software program will not be able to execute on your computer. Modules loaded with the process are msoxmlmf.dll and clrcengine3.dll. The first module is from Microsoft’s Office InfoPath while the second module is from CyberLink’s Power Cinema. The file size for version 5, 0, 0, 0 is 1.1 MB. This version executes as a 32-bit program, generally compatible with Windows Vista Home Premium. The parent process that loads the file onto the system is explorer.exe. This is Windows Explorer from Microsoft. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dvdagent.exe. is used by HP DVDSmart Resident Program, If you shut down dvdagent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
