What is  dtsrvc.exe

Most users will find the dtsrvc.exe file already installed on their computers. The file is usually included in installers for desktop monitors, hence; the file will generally come pre-installed on your desktop. The file launches a process that is known as Display Tune Service, for the Portrait Displays application. The file simply enables the user to configure monitor display settings with the use of the mouse, instead of the usual way of using the buttons on the monitor to set display settings according to the user’s preference. The file is not a background process. You can disable it to stop it from launching with boot-up. Terminating the process did not seem to affect the proper functioning of the monitor, as cited by users. The file’s usual location is C:\Program Files\Common Files\Portrait Displays\Shared\dtsrvc.exe. Typically, the file size is 126.61 KB. Memory utilization is 1.5 MB of RAM share, committed memory of 32.3 MB, and peak working memory of 5.28 MB.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dtsrvc.exe. is used by Display Tune Service, If you shut down dtsrvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
