Dsca.exe is the executable file for Dell Support Center, a software agent provided for free by Dell Incorporated exclusively Dimension and Inspiron computers which they produce. Dell Support Center is a portal for self-help and support tools, instant message chat, system information, and service resources. It provides notification of driver updates and available software, upgrades, and program patches. The Dell Support Center software provides interfaces for the following online features: links to the website for the Dell PC Tune-Up, Windows Vista compatible Dell computers, and Dell upgrades and accessories, warranty information, self-help tools for the Dell PC Checkup system scanner, and the links to Dell online support manual, documentation, online training modules, and Community Forums. Notification of system activities, alerts, and technical support are provided on the official website as well. A section on the interface provides clear guidelines and answers to questions about Dell Automated PC Tune-Up, paid subscriptions for software application, a link to frequently asked questions, and the link to problem detection scanner services.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dsca.exe. is used by Dell Support Center Agent, If you shut down dsca.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dsca.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Dell Support Center Agent, from your system.
