The process DrvIcon or drvicon.exe is an executable program supporting Vista Drive Icon from artArmin. With this software, Vista Drive Icons are adapted on other operating systems other than Vista. Drive icons are the icons that displays a bar showing the memory status of each drive. Bar icons are red if the drive is full or nearly full and are green or blue if the memory space available is still more than half. The background process drvicon.exe is the one responsible for checking the memory status of each drive installed in the computer. This file commonly runs at computer start up, and shows no visible window. It is located inside the subfolders of the Program Files folder of the local drive, and is occupying 45 KB to 110 KB of disc space. This process is a part of Windows operating system, but is not a core component and may be removed if needed.
