The process DigitalPersona Local Host, executed through dphostw.exe, is part of the services provided by the DigitalPersona Pro for Active Directory Software. The standard directory for the file is C:\Program Files\DigitalPersona\Bin\dphostw.exe. Its approximate file size is 315.06 KB, and average usage of RAM is 9.02 MB. It has a working set memory of about 9.36 MB in active use, which peaks to 15.44 MB. Parent process is services.exe, and this specific file runs on a 64-bit platform. The software provides a fingerprint authentication application that will enable users to log-on to protected workstations, access password-protected sites and services, by a fingerprint reader device or application. Later models of laptops come with the DIgitalPersona Pro software. Users find the DigitalPersona software conflicting with their installed database management software, hence; they were unable to use both software programs. Their solution was to uninstall one of the software programs to make the other run smoothly again.
