It contains completely integrated components that work together to ensure that the time of the entire enterprise is always correct, shows that clocks are performing and proves the synchronized status of a machine at any given time. The components of this application can be installed, upgraded, and configured network-wide from a single workstation using the Management Tools. Its manageability is enhanced by features such as complete compatibility with Windows Active Directory, including graphical utility to monitor and configure the Windows Time service, capability for remote setup of Windows time zone settings using Management Tools, and advanced time analysis tools that include real time graphical displays of accuracy and latency.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. domtimec.exe. is used by Domain Time II Full Client, If you shut down domtimec.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop domtimec.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Domain Time II Full Client, from your system.
