The process with the file name dlg.exe is related digital phones lines and PCs. The process is generally known as Digital Line Detection, and it is used for connecting the PC with a digital phone line for fax modems. Usually, these fax modems are already bundled with PCs, which means that they are already installed to the machine when you purchase your computer. If you connect your fax modem via an analog line, then you do not need the process. But if you use digital phone lines, you will have to allow the process to run upon startup; particularly if you use your fax modem on a regular basis. File version 1, 0, 0, 2 is a 32-bit program that runs on computers using Windows XP. This file version has a typical size of 49.5 KB, and file location of C:\Program Files\Digital Line Detect\dlg.exe. Average context switches per second is 10, while average RAM space allocation is 2 MB.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dlg.exe. is used by Digital Line Detection, If you shut down dlg.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dlg.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Digital Line Detection, from your system.
