The file that is responsible for your Dell printer work is executed on the system through dlcccoms.exe. The process name is Printer Communication System, installed via the software for Dell Printer. The file is necessary for the printer to run, but it is up to the user to enable it to run when the system boots, or disable it and prevent it from launching upon startup. This is not a system-invoked application which means that unless the user executes the file, it will not perform its function; unlike with system-invoked processes where the computer automatically launches the file when it determines that a task needs it. The file is generally located in the System directory, saved in the following format: C:\Windows\System 32\dlcccoms.exe. It has an average file size of 538,096 bytes. Its RAM usage when not being used is 2 MB. You may disable the file but not uninstall, otherwise, your Dell printer will not work.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dlcccoms.exe. is used by Printer Communication System, If you shut down dlcccoms.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dlcccoms.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Printer Communication System, from your system.
