The executable process file dellmmkb.exe (version 2.0.0) is a non essential system process that is identified as Netropa Hot Key that is part of the software Netropa Hot Key as developed by the company, Netropa Corporation. The process file is found running in the Task Manager as the process dellmmkb.exe that permits for the configuration of added keys on Dell’s range of keyboards. The process file is found to be located in the folder C:\Windows which has a file size on Windows 7 or XP of 163,840 bytes of all incidences or 21,516 bytes. The process file can execute at startup upon startup of Windows, with the registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Run. The process file dellmmkb.exe is not considered a Windows core file or a Windows system file and neither does it have a visible window. The process file is further regarded as a multimedia keyboard control for Dell based computers, but this is only required if the multimedia keys are utilized. In functionality, the process file has the ability to monitor applications, assign added keys to Dell computer’s keyboard and assign such hot keys to the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dellmmkb.exe. is used by Dell Multimedia, If you shut down dellmmkb.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dellmmkb.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Dell Multimedia, from your system.
