Datasafeonline.exe is the executable file for Dell's online product storage for the saved and shared files required to activate the automatic system backups. It protects audio, video and all other files by creating backup copies in a secure online storage using the internet connection. All data is secured by its encryption and compression services prior to being released for use. The datasafeonline.exe process maintains and restores lost original data caused by natural disaster, fire, hardware failure, accidental file deletion, theft, or plain human error. Automatic backup of file can be relied upon when the file is lost through virus. The file backup package ranges from 2 gigabytes to 100 gigabytes of online storage space, and is compatible with Windows-based computers with the later versions from Microsoft Windows XP to Windows Vista with Pentium 733 megahertz processors or higher with minimum memory of 512 megabytes and 15 megabytes of hard disk space.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. datasafeonline.exe. is used by Dell DataSafe Online, If you shut down datasafeonline.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop datasafeonline.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Dell DataSafe Online, from your system.
