The file process d4.exe is an essential component of the program Dimension 4, or Dimension version 4, and is created by Thinking Man Software. Dimension 4 is a type of network time synchronization freeware, that when it is installed on the computer, it is able to start-up and adjust the system clock or network time, then shut down afterwards. Those are the specific functions that are processed, whenever the software that houses the file is successfully downloaded onto the Windows desktop computer, laptop, or notebook, which include the following Microsoft Windows Operating Systems: Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 98, and Windows 95. It is not advisable to terminate or stop the file process, so it does not disable its assigned tasks, or worse, the entire functionality of the software, but unless it causes errors or problems, this may be removed.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. d4.exe. is used by Dimension 4 or Dimension, If you shut down d4.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop d4.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Dimension 4 or Dimension, from your system.
