Many users reported that their system security tools flag the d3dxof32.dll file as a malicious program associated with variants of the Win32/Tracur.J application, which is a family of Trojans and worms that are known to be embedded with functionalities for downloading more malicious items unto the infected system from predesignated remote servers upon the initial placement and successful activation of the d3dxof32.dll malware, especially in computers with outdated or missing OS security certificates and an unsecured Windows System Registry. Other user groups claim that their anti-malware applications identify the d3dxof32.dll file as a malware component of the Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.dter program, which is another family of Trojan downloaders and worms. In both instances, the d3dxof32.dll malware is said to be distributed with executable component processes that can create and inject keys and entries into the unsecured Windows System Registry of the unprotected system, and these registry strings are said to add the d3dxof32.dll malware to the unsecured Windows System Registry as a valid or legitimate DLL (Dynamic Link Library) module of the computer. These registry strings are also said to enable the d3dxof32.dll malware and its executable component processes to automatically initialize during system startup, to operate as cloacked background processes, to exploit unencrypted TCP/IP network ports of the unprotected Windows-based system, and to download more malicious applications unto the compromised system from remote servers that are allegedly managed by the authors of the d3dxof32.dll malware.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. d3dxof32.dll. is used by Win32/Tracur.J Trojan and Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.dter, If you shut down d3dxof32.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop d3dxof32.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Win32/Tracur.J Trojan and Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Agent.dter, from your system.
