The d3dcheck.exe process is an executable component file of the firmware resources and device driver software utilities that are distributed with certain ASUS laptops, desktop computers, mobile computing devices and motherboards. This means the d3dcheck.exe file can be a pre-installed EXE component process of these ASUS computers, or a resource file included in downloadable standalone installer distributions or CDs and DVDs of these ASUS mobile computing devices, laptop and desktop computers and motherboards. The d3dcheck.exe process is specifically deployed into the system by these ASUS firmware utilities and device driver software components to assist in the integration of the functionalities embedded in the devices equipped into these ASUS motherboards and computers. This means the d3dcheck.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation of these ASUS firmware resources and device driver software utilities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. d3dcheck.exe. is used by ASUS Firmware/Driver Software, If you shut down d3dcheck.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop d3dcheck.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ASUS Firmware/Driver Software, from your system.
