The d346bus.sys process is a system driver file that is used by the Daemon Tools software, and this process is distributed alongside other SYS driver utilities, certain executable application resources, some modular Dynamic Link Library (DLL) files, particular background and system process items among various components required by the Daemon Tools application to implement its embedded set of functionalities into Windows-based systems. The Daemon Tools application is classified as a Windows program with features for creating, organizing and managing virtual drives. This program is also integrated with a function for creating disk images that can be mounted unto these virtual drives, in order for the user to view and access the content of the disk images. The d346bus.sys file is specifically deployed as the Daemon Tools PnP BIOS Extension module, which is an applet built into the Daemon Tools program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. d346bus.sys. is used by Daemon Tools and Daemon Tools PnP BIOS Extension Module, If you shut down d346bus.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop d346bus.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Daemon Tools and Daemon Tools PnP BIOS Extension Module, from your system.
