The cuteshell.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that is distributed as a component resource library of the CuteFTP software, which is a Windows program classified as a local and remote FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client application that was developed by GlobalSCAPE. The CuteFTP software can be used to transmit and download files, folders, sub directories and entire directory libraries to and from client systems and remote or local server computers that are connected to the same network. System and network administrators can also use the CuteFTP software to change file and folder names and permissions in client systems and in local and network servers, provided they have the necessary credentials or required access privileges. The cuteshell.dll module is specifically deployed into the client system upon the installation of the CuteFTP software as the CuteFTP Shell Integration library, which is referenced by the CuteFTP software to assist in embedding its context menu options and control panel items into the Windows Explorer shell and into the GUI (Graphical User Interface) of the CuteFTP program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cuteshell.dll. is used by CuteFTP and CuteFTP Shell Integration Library, If you shut down cuteshell.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cuteshell.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CuteFTP and CuteFTP Shell Integration Library, from your system.
