The cttype.exe process is an executable component file of the firmware resources and device driver software utilities that are distributed with Creative keyboards and mouse devices, which are wireless HIDs (Human Interface Devices) developed by Creative Technology for Windows-based computers that are equipped with compatible motherboards. This means the cttype.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation of these Creative wireless keyboard and mouse driver utilities, and is specifically deployed into the Windows-based computer as the executable program dispatcher file of the Creative Keyboard Monitor application. This is a small program built into these Creative wireless keyboard and mouse driver resources, and the cttype.exe file is activated upon system startup as a background process, in order to assist in the implementation of real time monitoring functionalities into the system for these Creative wireless keyboard and mouse devices. Upon detecting and establishing connections with these Creative wireless products, the cttype.exe also aids in the integration of the features embedded in these Creative wireless keyboard and mouse devices into the Windows-based computer.
