What is cshook.dll
The cshook.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that is implemented into the system by the ConfigSafe software, which is a Windows program classified as a system maintenance and restoration tool that was developed by Imagine LAN with a set of features for taking snapshots of the system and its current configurations, and for rolling back the system to its previous state upon user request. The ConfigSafe software is comprised of utility tools that can monitor and log changes made to the Windows System Registry and applications that have been installed and uninstalled from the system among other features. The cshook.dll module is specifically deployed into the system by the ConfigSafe software as the Install Guard library, which is referenced by the ConfigSafe software whenever the Install Guard utility tool is used for managing installed applications and for monitoring the system so the Install Guard application can log changes made by uninstalled and newly installed programs. The cshook.dll file is placed in the system upon the installation of the ConfigSafe software.
