The cscentfy.dll file has been reported by many users as a malicious program classified by their system security tools as a variant of the TROJ_SMALL.FAI application, which is a family of Trojans known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems, especially computers with outdated or missing OS security certificates and an unsecured Windows System Registry. The cscentfy.dll malware is said to be distributed with executable component processes that are embedded with self-activating functionalities and the ability to create and inject keys and entries into the unsecured Windows System Registry of the unprotected system. These registry strings are said to allow these executable component files and the cscentfy.dll malware to automatically initialize during system startup and operate as hidden background processes during system runtime. These users also claim that the cscentfy.dll malware is capable of exploiting and using unencrypted TCP/IP network ports, especially in unprotected systems with outdated or missing OS security certificates. The cscentfy.dll malware is said to be capable of using these exploited system vulnerabilities to establish data transmission and communication lines with remote servers that are managed by the authors of the cscentfy.dll malware. These users reported that upon establishing communications with these remote servers, the cscentfy.dll malware begins to download more malicious programs unto the system and wait for further directives from these remote servers.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cscentfy.dll. is used by TROJ_SMALL.FAI, If you shut down cscentfy.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cscentfy.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is TROJ_SMALL.FAI, from your system.
