The cpkbinst.exe process is an executable component file of CyberPatrol software products and is particularly deployed into the system by these CyberPatrol applications as the executable program dispatcher file of the CyberPatrol Keyboard Monitor application, which is a small program built into these CyberPatrol software products. The CyberPatrol Keyboard Monitor application is used by these CyberPatrol tools for detecting malicious code injected by possible malware items that have been programmed to secretly record keyboard inputs and log these details for transmission to predesignated remote servers that are managed by the authors of these malware items, which are mostly spyware programs, Web browser hijackers and malicious BHOs (Browser Helper Objects). This means the cpkbinst.exe process is activated by these CyberPatrol software programs to operate as a background process while these applications are actively running in the Windows-based computer. The cpkbinst.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of these CyberPatrol software products, which are security applications that are embedded with system monitoring, malware detection and threat blocking functionalities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cpkbinst.exe. is used by CyberPatrol Software Products and CyberPatrol Keyboard Monitor Application, If you shut down cpkbinst.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
