The contmenu.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that is implemented into the system by the ZipGenius software, which is a Windows program classified as a file compression and decompression tool that was developed by Matteo Riso and embedded with a set of features for compressing files and folders in widely used archive formats, for directly working with optical media disks, and for implementing decompression support for more than 20 compressed file formats. The contmenu.dll module is specifically deployed into the Windows-based system by the ZipGenius software as its context menu library, which means the ZipGenius program references the contmenu.dll file whenever this application is required to display the context menu items and options in its UI (User Interface) and from within the shell of Windows Explorer, and also whenever the ZipGenius software is required to perform the operations that correspond to each of those context menu items and options as requested by the user. The contmenu.dll module is placed in the system upon the installation of the ZipGenius software, which is distributed in two versions, namely ZipGenius Standard and ZipGenius Suite.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. contmenu.dll. is used by ZipGenius Standard and ZipGenius Suite, If you shut down contmenu.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop contmenu.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ZipGenius Standard and ZipGenius Suite, from your system.
