The contexthandler.dll process is a modular DLL (Dynamic Link Library) file that is implemented into the system by the Ashampoo WinOptimizer software, which is a Windows program classified as a system optimization and maintenance tool with a set of features for cleaning, tweaking and improving the overall performance and response time of the system, its built-in and third party applications, driver utilities and firmware components of devices that are connected to the Windows-based computer. The contexthandler.dll module is specifically deployed into the system by the Ashampoo WinOptimizer software as the Context Menu Handler library, and this module is referenced by this application whenever the functionalities of its context menu items and options that are integrated into this program's UI (User Interface) are required to be implemented into the system upon user request. The contexthandler.dll file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Ashampoo WinOptimizer software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. contexthandler.dll. is used by Ashampoo WinOptimizer and Context Menu Handler Library, If you shut down contexthandler.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop contexthandler.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Ashampoo WinOptimizer and Context Menu Handler Library, from your system.
