The consolc.exe process is an executable component file of certain Creative Technology installer distributions and is deployed into the system as one of the executable processes of an application included in the firmware components and driver utilities of associated Creative Technology devices. The Creative Technology Suite is a collection of firmware resources and device driver software utilities packaged as installer distributions that are bundled with certain laptops, desktop computers and mobile computing tools equipped with devices and chipsets from Creative Technology, and some of these installer distributions are packaged with Creative Technology devices that are marketed separately from laptops, desktop computers and mobile computing devices, such as Creative Technology soundcards. The consolc.exe process is specifically integrated into the system by the Creative Technology suite of firmware components and drivers as the executable program dispatcher file of the Creative Technology Console application, which is a small program built into these Creative Technology firmware utilities and drivers. This application assists these resources in integrating device status monitoring and management functionalities into the menu items and options implemented into the control panel UI (User Interface) of these Creative Technology firmware utilities and device driver software components. The consolc.exe process is also called "Console Launcher" and is placed in the system upon the installation of these Creative Technology drivers and firmware resources.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. consolc.exe. is used by Creative Technology Suite and Creative Technology Console and Creative Technology Console Launcher, If you shut down consolc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop consolc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Creative Technology Suite and Creative Technology Console and Creative Technology Console Launcher, from your system.
