The columbus.exe process is an executable component file of the Columbus suite of applications, which are Windows programs classified as IT asset management and software development tools that were developed by BrainWare to provide users with network management solutions, network hardware and software resource life cycle monitoring processes, software development project deployment systems and group collaboration tracking options. The columbus.exe file is integrated into the system by these Columbus programs to assist in the deployment and implementation of the embedded functionalities provided by these IT network asset management, software development and project tracking applications into Windows-based client workstations. The columbus.exe file is included as one of the EXE component processes bundled along with other resource files and libraries that are packaged into the installer distributions of these Columbus suite of applications from BrainWare.
