The cnmnsut.exe process is also known as the CNMNSUT and it belongs to the Canon IJ Network Scan Utility that is owned by the Canon Inc. This process requires a third-party hardware or software. This process enables Canon scanner to see the user’s computer on the network. Scanning from the Control Panel becomes possible to any computer that is running the utility and saves the user between going back and forth between the MP and the user’s computer system. It is a good program to have as it has a network scanner. It is a non-system process, which means the user is allowed to enable or disable the process if he or she wishes to do so. However this process should not be terminated as it may cause the computer to function in a weird way. This process is considered to be safe to execute and does not present any significant risk which could harm the user’s computer system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cnmnsut.exe. is used by CNMNSUT, If you shut down cnmnsut.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cnmnsut.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CNMNSUT, from your system.
