The COMODO GeekBuddy file is the other name of the clps.exe file. The file is attached in the software called COMODO GeekBuddy which is literally owned by the COMODO company. The software deals with performance of the Personal Computer and helps remove virus. A 24/7 live protection of the PC is provided to the user. The file can be usually found in the C:\Program Files and has the known file size of 1,035,064 bytes in the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). The size of the file is not constant for it changes when installed in different versions of Operating Systems. Such systems are the Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. The file belongs to the trusted Company of Microsoft Windows Operating System but does not belongs to the Windows Core file. The user may remove the program by using the Add/Remove Programs located in the Control Panel of Microsoft Window Operating System.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. clps.exe. is used by Comodo Geek Buddy, If you shut down clps.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop clps.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Comodo Geek Buddy, from your system.

Some application require that they have processes running all the time so they can do things such as check for updates or notify you when you get an instant message. Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
