The clientsvc.exe process is an executable program component of the ZENworks Asset Management software, which is a Windows program classified as a network management application that was developed by Novell with a set of features for determining the hardware devices and installed applications of client and server systems that are connected to the network, and for logging these details in easy to use reports. These reports can be used by system administrators and network IT personnel to analyze and record the IT assets of the enterprise or business network. The clientsvc.exe process is specifically integrated into client systems by the Novell ZENworks Asset Management software to assist in the deployment of the hardware and software monitoring and status updating functionalities of the ZENworks Asset Management application into the Windows-based client computer. The clientsvc.exe file is placed in these client systems upon the installation of the Novell ZENworks Asset Management software in the server systems and its deployment across the client computers that are connected to the network.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. clientsvc.exe. is used by Novell Asset Management, If you shut down clientsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop clientsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Novell Asset Management, from your system.
