The clickpotatolitesa.exe process, also known as the ClickPotato Search Assistant, is an executable file belonging to the ClickPotato software by Pinball Corporation. Some users report that it belongs to the Adware malware group. The clickpotatolitesa.exe process file is reported to have the capability to access the Internet by creating or adopting a background service using HTTP Protocols. It uses this same method to connect with different computer systems and writes to the virtual memory of these processes. Some users state that the clickpotatolitesa.exe file can read and copy Http and Https web content and session details of the user by grabbing the WININET.DLL function. The process, according to some users, is able to determine URL IP Addresses via DNS look ups, and may make changes to the Windows Security Center in order to disable and prevent the antivirus and firewall status alerts and firewall override alerts from being displayed, which allows the process to avoid detection from security and system checks.
