The cleantemp.exe process is an executable program file deployed into the system by the UCS Clean Temp software, which is a Windows application classified as a system maintenance and optimization tool that was developed by Update Computer Services (UCS) with a set of features for cleaning the content of the system's TEMP folder upon Windows restart or reboot. The cleantemp.exe process is specifically integrated as the program dispatcher file of the UCS Clean Temp software, which means users can load the UCS Clean Temp folder unto the Windows-based system, implement its embedded set of system maintenance and optimization functionalities and access the UI (User Interface) of this program by activating the cleantemp.exe file. By default, the cleantemp.exe process is configured to automatically initialize during system startup, though users can choose to disable this auto-start feature through the UI of the UCS Clean Temp software. The cleantemp.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the UCS Clean Temp application, which also means the cleantemp.exe process is one of the EXE component processes bundled with other resource files and libraries that are packaged into the installer distributions of the UCS Clean Temp software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cleantemp.exe. is used by UCS (Update Computer Services) Clean Temp, If you shut down cleantemp.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cleantemp.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is UCS (Update Computer Services) Clean Temp, from your system.
