What is  clcl.exe

The clcl.exe process is an executable file that functions as a main program launcher of CLCL, a clipboard caching utility that directly deals with, and provides additional functionality to, the Windows clipboard, along with other useful extensions. In the Windows Clipboard, the clcl.exe process can access temporary data and may perform different tasks with the content of the Windows clipboard, and this data can be supervised or monitored by the user with the clcl.exe process. Text clips, Web links, pictures or clip art images and more can be stored and organized by the clcl.exe process and its associated program. With this software, clips may be pasted to different applications that are then able to copy any selected data, and text clips can be grouped into sets of categories that can be created by the user. The sizes or date and time stamps of these items can also be edited through this application. This freeware is a compact tool that supports all clipboard formats, with a customizable menu where special actions or favorite text clips can be assigned with hot keys and has an extensible function with plug-in.
