The christv_agent.exe process is an executable program file integrated into the system by the ChrisTV software, which is a Windows program classified as a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) application embedded with compatibility support for various USB TV and HDTV tuner cards and devices that are in turn equipped with support for Windows-based systems. The christv_agent.exe process is specifically deployed as the ChrisTV Agent application, which is a small program built into the ChrisTV PVR software that serves as a background process whenever the ChrisTV PVR program is actively running in the system. The christv_agent.exe file is included as one of the EXE component processes among other resource files and libraries bundled into the installer distribution packages of the ChrisTV PVR software, which also means the christv_agent.exe file is unloaded unto the system upon the installation of the ChrisTV PVR program.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. christv_agent.exe. is used by ChrisTV PVR and ChrisTV Agent Application, If you shut down christv_agent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop christv_agent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ChrisTV PVR and ChrisTV Agent Application, from your system.
