The chkcolor.exe process is specifically deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the Graphic Checker Loader application, which is a small program built into these Creative Technology driver utilities and firmware distributions. The chkcolor.exe process is also included among the resource files and libraries that are bundled into the installer distribution packages of these Creative Technology firmware utilities and device driver software components.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. chkcolor.exe. is used by Creative Technology Device Firmware/Driver Software and Graphic Checker Loader Application, If you shut down chkcolor.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop chkcolor.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Creative Technology Device Firmware/Driver Software and Graphic Checker Loader Application, from your system.
