What is chc.exe
The chc.exe process is an executable program file integrated into the system by the firmware components and device driver utilities of certain laptops and mobile computers packaged with motherboards that are equipped with Centrino-compliant network devices, chipsets and Intel Core 2 processors and integrated with Intel vPro technology. The chc.exe process is specifically deployed into these firmware components and device driver software resources as the executable program dispatcher file of the Centrino Hardware Control application, which is a small program built into the Intel vPro software and these associated firmware utilities and drivers. The Centrino Hardware Control application is responsible for aiding the Intel vPro software in implementing its remote hardware management functionalities into the Windows-based system and these Centrino-compliant motherboard devices. The chc.exe process is placed in the system upon the installation of the Intel vPro software, which is in turn integrated into the system upon the installation and configuration of the associated motherboard drivers and firmware resources of these supported laptops and mobile computing devices.
